AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY FOR VETERANS' BENEFITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (a) of section 27-103 of the general statutes be amended to provide that "service in time of war" means service of eighty-nine or more days, except, if the period of war lasted less than eighty-nine days, "service in time of war" means service for the entire period of war unless separated from service earlier because of a service-connected disability.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the period of time that a veteran in service in time of war must serve in order to qualify for certain veterans' benefits and property tax exemptions.
