AN ACT CONCERNING RESULTS-BASED ACCOUNTABILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) On or before July 1, 2010, the administrative head of each budgeted agency shall designate an employee with knowledge of the agency's financial operations to act as the agency's liaison to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies for matters relating to results-based accountability methods of budgeting. At any time a designated liaison is unable to serve in that position, such administrative head shall appoint another such employee to serve as the agency's liaison.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||

Statement of Purpose:
To require budgeted agencies to designate a results-based accountability liaison to the General Assembly.
