AN ACT EXEMPTING FAMILY MEMBERS OF MURDER VICTIMS FROM JURY SERVICE IN CRIMINAL MATTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 884 of the general statutes be amended to exclude from jury service in a criminal matter any individual who provides written notice to the Jury Administrator that an immediate family member of the individual was a murder victim.
Statement of Purpose:
To exclude from jury service in a criminal matter any individual who provides written notice to the Jury Administrator that an immediate family member of the individual was a murder victim.
