AN ACT REQUIRING THE STATE OMBUDSMAN TO INVESTIGATE COMPLAINTS CONCERNING RECIPIENTS OF HOME AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17a-408 of the general statutes be amended to require the Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman to investigate complaints concerning recipients of home and community-based services.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the scope of the State Ombudsman's duty to protect long-term care clients to those receiving home and community-based care.
