AN ACT BANNING THE IMPORTATION OF ZEBRA MUSSELS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 22a-381d of the general statutes be amended to ban the importation of zebra mussels into the state and to require the Commissioner of Environmental Protection to adopt regulations to implement best practices for preventing the accidental introduction of zebra mussels into the waters of the state.

Statement of Purpose:

To prevent the further introduction of zebra mussels into the waters of the state.
