AN ACT LIMITING ORGANIZATIONAL EXPENDITURES BY STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-718 of the general statutes be amended to limit the amount of organizational expenditures made by state central committees for the general election campaign to (1) ten thousand dollars to the candidate committee of a participating candidate in the Citizens' Election Program for the office of state senator, and (2) three thousand five hundred dollars to the candidate committee of a participating candidate in the Citizens' Election Program for the office of state representative.
Statement of Purpose:
To impose caps on the amount state central committees expenditures for legislative candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program.
