AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF HAIR FOLLICLE DRUG TESTING BY CLINICAL LABORATORIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any clinical laboratory, as defined in section 19a-30 of the general statutes, that offers hair follicle drug testing as part of its array of diagnostic testing services from refusing to administer a hair follicle drug test that has been ordered by a physician or physician assistant, licensed under chapter 370 of the general statutes, or an advanced practice registered nurse, licensed under chapter 378 of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that a clinical laboratory administers a hair follicle drug test when such a test has been ordered by a licensed physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse.
