AN ACT CONCERNING THE ABILITY OF ARBITRATION PANELS TO COMPROMISE WHEN RULING ON MUNICIPAL CONTRACT DISPUTES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 7-473c of the general statutes be amended to allow an arbitration panel ruling on a municipal contract dispute to decide on a compromise of both parties last best offer rather than being required to accept the final provisions relating to any unresolved issues as contained in the statement of last best offer of one party or the other.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide arbitrators with the ability to award compromise contracts.
