AN ACT CONCERNING A PERSONAL INCOME TAX DEDUCTION FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO RECEIVE ALL APPROPRIATE HEALTH SCREENINGS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-701 of the general statutes be amended to provide a personal income tax deduction from adjusted gross income to any individual who receives all age-appropriate health screenings and tests as recommended by the American Medical Association. Such deduction shall be limited to the aggregate cost of health care insurance premiums and deductibles paid by the individual.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit a healthy living personal income tax deduction as a method of promoting proper preventive health care for residents.
