AN ACT PROHIBITING SCRAP METAL PROCESSORS FROM PURCHASING OR RECEIVING METAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND WHEELCHAIR RAMPS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 21-11a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit scrap metal processors from purchasing or receiving metal medical equipment and wheelchair ramps.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect residents with ambulatory disabilities by removing incentives for thieves to steal metal medical equipment and wheelchair ramps.
