AN ACT CONCERNING MANDATORY REGISTRAR OF VOTER SESSIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 9-17 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the registrars of voters of each town shall hold only one mandatory session to examine the qualifications of electors and admit those found qualified prior to each regular election.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce costs for municipalities by only requiring one session for registering voters prior to an election instead of three.
