AN ACT AUTHORIZING HOMEOWNERS TO SELF-INSTALL SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS AND QUALIFY FOR ESTIMATED PERFORMANCE-BASED BUYDOWN INCENTIVES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 16-245ff of the general statutes be amended to authorize homeowners to apply for eligibility to self-install solar photovoltaic systems for the purpose of qualifying for estimated performance-based buydown incentives.

Statement of Purpose:

To authorize homeowners who elect to self-install a solar photovoltaic system, rather than retain an eligible contractor to perform the installation, to qualify for estimated performance-based buydown incentives.
