AN ACT EXPANDING ELIGIBILITY FOR THE MAXIMUM FILM TAX CREDIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-217jj of the general statutes be amended to provide resident filmmakers the full thirty per cent credit against all eligible production expenses greater than two hundred fifty thousand dollars rather than one million dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To lower the expenditure threshold for filmmakers in the state to be eligible for the maximum film tax credit.
