AN ACT CONCERNING A TAX CREDIT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES THAT PROVIDE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that businesses, including pass-through entities, that employ twenty or fewer employees, shall receive a tax credit representing up to fifty per cent of the amount paid to provide health insurance coverage to employees.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a tax credit incentive for small businesses to provide health insurance for their employees.
