AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE OF FEES FOR THE PROCESSING OF AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE PREMIUM PAYMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require insurers to separate and clearly disclose on any invoice for automobile insurance premium payments any fees charged by an insurer or agent of such insurer for the processing of such payments.

Statement of Purpose:

To require insurers to separate and clearly disclose on any invoice for automobile insurance premium payments any fees charged by an insurer or agent of such insurer for the processing of such payments.
