AN ACT CONCERNING WORKERS' COMPENSATION AND THE SOLAR ENERGY INDUSTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to reduce the workers' compensation insurance rates for companies providing roof-mounted solar energy services by differentiating such companies from companies that provide traditional roofing services.
Statement of Purpose:
To better align workers' compensation insurance rates in the solar energy industry with the actual risk exposure and to provide financial relief to solar energy companies in order to promote a new and growing industry.
