AN ACT CONCERNING A TOURISM PROMOTION, JOBS AND REVENUE ACCOUNT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a tourism promotion, jobs and revenue account into which a portion of the occupancy tax collected on hotels and lodging houses shall be deposited and be used by the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to market the state for tourism purposes, encourage job growth in the tourism industry and support the tourism industry as a whole.

Statement of Purpose:

To establish a tourism promotion, jobs and revenue account to be used by the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to market and support the tourism industry in the state.
