AN ACT CONCERNING STATE IDENTIFICATION AND TRAINING FOR OFFENDERS UPON REENTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Correction to provide to offenders reentering the community state identification cards or motor vehicle operator's licenses, as applicable, and a thirty-hour outreach training program authorized by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Statement of Purpose:
To make offenders reentering the community more employable and less likely to return to prison.
