REP. STEINBERG, 136th Dist. |
AN ACT CONCERNING SPECIAL SERVICES DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 7-339p of the general statutes be amended to require that, in order to defeat an ordinance establishing a special services district by referendum, a majority of property owners must vote against such ordinance rather than a majority of property owners voting in favor of such ordinance as is required under current law.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent defeat of a referendum on an ordinance establishing a special services district due to property owners not voting on such referendum.
