AN ACT REQUIRING POLICE TO RELINQUISH CERTAIN PROFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapters 104 and 529 of the general statutes be amended to require that if any police officer injures, shoots or kills an unarmed person and makes any profit from such incident, such officer shall transfer those moneys to the unarmed person or the family members of such person.

Statement of Purpose:

To require that if any police officer who injures, shoots or kills an unarmed person makes any profit from such incident, such officer shall transfer those moneys to the unarmed person or the family members of such person.
