AN ACT CONCERNING BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR HOME HEALTH AGENCY EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-491d of the general statutes be amended to require each home health agency to conduct a comprehensive background check of prospective employees of the agency to provide to clients of the agency that includes a review of every kind of criminal activity and disciplinary records from previous places of employment.
Statement of Purpose:
To promote optimal protection to elderly and vulnerable persons when under the care of home health care agencies and ensure accountability.
