AN ACT REQUIRING APPLICANTS FOR PROFESSIONAL OR BUSINESS LICENSES TO PROVIDE PROOF THEY DO NOT OWE TAXES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require persons applying for or renewing professional or business licenses to provide proof that they do not owe any taxes to the state or any municipality in the state.

Statement of Purpose:

To require persons applying for or renewing professional or business licenses in the state to pay their taxes.
