AN ACT CONCERNING ENTICING A MINOR THROUGH ELECTRONIC APPLICATIONS AND SOCIAL MEDIA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 53a-90a and 53a-90b of the general statutes which prohibit enticing a minor through the use of an interactive computer service be amended to expand such prohibitions to manufacturers and users of electronic applications and social media on the Internet or on a telephone that are designed to entice children to engage in prostitution or sexual activity.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of electronic applications and social media to entice a minor into prostitution or sexual activity.
