AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE GRANT OF AN AGRICULTURAL CONSERVATION EASEMENT ON LANDS THAT COMPRISE THE SOUTHBURY TRAINING SCHOOL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize the grant of an agricultural conservation easement on lands that compromise the Southbury Training School, provided such easement is in favor of a nonprofit organization and such organization's mission includes the permanent protection of agricultural lands for use as agricultural lands.
Statement of Purpose:
To permanently preserve valuable farmland while enabling the state to retain ownership of such land.
