AN ACT REQUIRING PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING COMPANIES TO PACKAGE OPIOIDS DISPENSED IN THE STATE IN BLISTER PACKS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 21a of the general statutes be amended to require pharmaceutical manufacturing companies to package all prescription opioids that are being dispensed in the state in blister packs.

Statement of Purpose:

To change the packaging of prescription opioids.
