AN ACT CONCERNING THE SMALL TOWN ECONOMIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND INCREASING THE PREVAILING WAGE THRESHOLD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to increase the prevailing wage threshold on public works projects utilizing Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) grants to five hundred thousand dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the economic burden on municipalities by providing that STEAP funded projects have a prevailing wage threshold of five hundred thousand dollars.
