AN ACT CONCERNING CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Public Health to expend not less than fifty per cent of the moneys appropriated to the department for children's health initiatives, during the fiscal year commencing on July 1, 2011, for the purchase and installation of carbon monoxide detectors in the state's public schools.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the state's children by ensuring that public schools are equipped with carbon monoxide detectors.
