AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIP CREDIT AND THE MINIMUM FAIR WAGE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 31-60 of the general statutes be amended to increase the amount of gratuities that may be counted as part of the minimum fair wage for certain individuals who are employed in the hotel and restaurant industry and who customarily and regularly receive gratuities.

Statement of Purpose:

To amend the state law regarding the tip credit for certain individuals who are employed in the hotel and restaurant industry and who customarily and regularly receive gratuities.
