AN ACT CONCERNING CORPORATIONS' AND ORGANIZATIONS' FINANCIAL INFLUENCE ON ELECTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The State Elections Enforcement Commission shall review the provisions of title 9 of the general statutes and evaluate whether such provisions should be amended in light of the United States Supreme Court decision, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, S. Ct. No. 08-205 (2010). Not later than January 1, 2011, the commission shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, recommendations for legislation, if any, resulting from such review, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to elections.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
