AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall conduct a study regarding the development of a long-term, comprehensive infrastructure plan utilizing transit-oriented development, as defined in section 7-339cc of the general statutes, that may be implemented in municipalities throughout the state. Not later than January 1, 2019, the secretary shall submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to local governments. Such report shall contain the results of such study and recommendations for such plan.


This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

To require the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management to conduct a study regarding a transit-oriented development plan.
