AN ACT REFORMING MUNICIPAL BINDING ARBITRATION REFORM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to set mandatory timelines for municipal collective bargaining negotiations that mirror those established in the Teacher's Negotiation Act. The selection and review of neutral arbitrators should be reformed to mirror the selection and review of Superior Court judges.
Statement of Purpose:
To reform municipal binding arbitration timelines and the manner in which neutral arbitrators are selected.
