AN ACT CONCERNING ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-260a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services, in consultation with the Insurance Commissioner, to develop a pilot program, to the extent permissible under federal and state law and available appropriations, to provide not less than three hundred thousand dollars in life insurance for caretaker parents to fund long-term care for their children.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide for the long-term care of acquired brain injury patients after their parents die.
