AN ACT REQUIRING MUNICIPALITIES TO DESIGNATE A VETERANS SERVICE CONTACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 506 of the general statutes be amended to require municipalities that do not employ a veterans' service officer to assign an employee as a veterans' service contact who will be eligible for an annual training course conducted by the Office of Advocacy and Assistance within the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
Statement of Purpose:
To extend outreach services for veterans to every municipality.
