AN ACT CONCERNING THE MUZZLING OF DOGS LOCATED ON THEIR OWNER'S PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize animal control officers to require owners to muzzle their dogs when the dog is outside of the home, including when the dog is on the owner's property and regardless of whether the dog is in an enclosed space.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide animal control officers with the authority to order a dog to be muzzled even if the dog is kept on the owner's property.
