AN ACT CONCERNING THE AUTHORITY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO REQUIRE CERTAIN ELECTRONIC MONITORING DEVICES FOR AQUACULTURE LICENSEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Agriculture shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54 of the general statutes, to implement the requirement that shellfish lessees be monitored through the use of electronic monitoring devices.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Agriculture to adopt regulations for the requirement that shellfish licensees be monitored by electronic monitoring devices.
