AN ACT CONCERNING THE MUNICIPAL OPTION TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION FOR ONE HUNDRED PER CENT DISABLED VETERANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 12-81g of the general statutes be amended to increase the municipal option to provide a property tax exemption for one hundred per cent disabled veterans from three times to four times the exemption set forth in subdivision (2) of section 12-81 of the general statutes and to allow municipalities to set the income requirements for eligibility.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow municipalities to extend property tax exemptions for certain veterans.
