AN ACT CONCERNING REIMBURSEMENT FOR MUNICIPAL PHOSPHOROUS ABATEMENT PROJECTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 22a-478 of the general statutes be amended to require that when issuing reimbursement for the cost of a phosphorous removal project that there not be a requirement for a contract entered into on or before July 1, 2018, for such removal and that the requirement for reduction at or below two-tenths milligrams per liter effluent discharge be based on an average monthly basis.

Statement of Purpose:

To assist the towns of Cheshire and Wallingford in their efforts to obtain reimbursement for the cost of phosphorous removal projects.
