AN ACT CONCERNING LICENSURE OF FACILITIES THAT PROVIDE TEMPORARY CARE TO CHILDREN WITH MINOR ILLNESSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368v of the general statutes be amended to permit the establishment of urgent care centers that: (1) Are licensed by the Department of Public Health; and (2) provide temporary care to children who are experiencing minor illnesses that preclude their attendance at a typical child care setting.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish state licensed facilities that will provide temporary child care for children with minor illnesses.
