AN ACT CONCERNING ENACTMENT OF UNFUNDED STATE MANDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require a two-thirds vote of each chamber of the General Assembly to enact any new state mandate for which no state reimbursement is provided to local governments for costs resulting from such new mandate.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the vote of two-thirds of each chamber of the General Assembly to enact a new unfunded state mandate.
