AN ACT REQUIRING THE INCLUSION OF PRIMARY CARE PROVIDERS ON INSURANCE IDENTIFICATION CARDS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require health insurers to include the name of each enrollee's primary care physician on the enrollee's insurance identification card.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide sufficient information on insurance identification cards to allow emergency room personnel to send patient reports to primary care physicians.
