AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF WIND POWER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2010) The Connecticut Siting Council shall conduct a study to determine the feasibility and efficacy of using wind turbines to produce energy in this state and the preferred locations for any such wind turbines. On or before January 15, 2011, the council shall report the findings of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to energy.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2010	New section
