AN ACT CONCERNING A SPECIAL ELECTRICITY RATE FOR SENIORS WHO HEAT THEIR HOMES WITH ELECTRICITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Utility Control to initiate a docket to consider a special electricity rate for people age fifty-five and older who heat their homes exclusively with electricity.
Statement of Purpose:
To study the reintroduction of a special electric rate for senior citizens that have electric heat in their homes.
