AN ACT REQUIRING THE REGULATION OF WOOD SMOKE COMBUSTION AS A HEAT SOURCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to regulate the use of wood smoke combustion in outdoor wood burning and home fireplaces by implementing an annual tax or user fee on such heating systems.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce air emissions generated from wood smoke combustion.
