AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS AS A SUBSIDY TO THE SALARY OF A NEW EMPLOYEE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to allow for the salary of a newly hired employee to be subsidized by unemployment benefits.

Statement of Purpose:

To encourage hiring by allowing unemployment benefits to be used as a subsidy for the salary of a person at a new job.
