AN ACT CONCERNING OPEN SPACE REQUIRED TO BE SET ASIDE BY LAND DEVELOPERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require that any land which a land developer must set aside as open space pursuant to law be appropriate for passive recreational use and to further provide that such open space be developed for passive recreational use contiguous to any existing trail systems that may exist on such lands.

Statement of Purpose:

To require that open space set asides be useable for passive recreation use.
