AN ACT INCREASING THE PERSONAL NEEDS ALLOWANCE FOR CERTAIN LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY RESIDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-106 of the 2012 supplement to the general statutes be amended to (1) increase the personal needs allowance from sixty to sixty-nine dollars for long-term care facility residents who receive Medicaid and federal Supplemental Security Income Program payments, and (2) annually increase the allowance to reflect the Social Security inflation adjustment, if any.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the personal needs allowance for certain residents of long-term care facilities.
