AN ACT CONCERNING LIFETIME PARKING PERMITS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH PERMANENT DISABILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-253a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue a lifetime permit to utilize a parking space reserved for persons who are blind and persons with disabilities to any applicant for such permit who has a permanent disability.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that permits to park in spaces reserved for persons with disabilities do not expire for individuals with permanent disabilities.
