AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIME PERIOD FOR THE FILING OF MECHANIC'S LIENS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 49-34 of the general statutes be amended to increase the time period for filing a mechanic's lien certificate with the town clerk from ninety days to ninety business days after services have been completed or materials furnished.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow additional time for the filing of mechanic's liens.
