AN ACT PROVIDING A DEDUCTION FROM THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX FOR CHARITABLE DONATIONS TO CERTAIN PROVIDERS OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to match the federal tax deduction from the personal income tax for charitable donations to nonprofit organizations that provide mental health and addiction services.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide additional financial support for the provision of mental health and addiction services by allowing a deduction from the personal income tax for charitable donations to certain providers of mental health and addiction services.
