AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY FOR ELDERLY PROPERTY TAX RELIEF.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-170v of the general statutes be amended to reduce the current age of eligibility for property tax relief from seventy years of age to sixty-five years of age.
Statement of Purpose:
To stabilize property taxes for retirees by extending the municipal option to freeze property taxes to include persons between the ages of sixty-five years and seventy.
